SELMA – The Dallas County System of Services (DCSOS) is excited to announce Career Quest, a new occupational outreach event designed to bridge the gap between high school students and their future in vocational and STEM-related careers.
Career Quest will bring together local industries, colleges, and community partners to give students a unique opportunity to explore career and educational pathways.
Through on-site interviews, college fairs and breakout sessions, students will gain first-hand exposure to the tools, resources, and skills they need to be workforce-ready.
“This event is about preparing today’s students for tomorrow’s opportunities,” said DCSOS Community Media Specialist Mike Irwin. “We want to show students that whether they choose college, vocational training, or direct employment, there are real opportunities right here in our community. Together, we can build strong pathways for our students.”
“Career Quest is more than an event; it’s a step toward transforming expectations and outcomes for our youth.”
Career Quest is expected to feature:
The one-day event is scheduled for Nov. 6. DCSOS invites colleges, employers, and community partners to participate in this milestone event. Interested organizations may contact Mike Irwin at [email protected] or 334- 526-4567.
