As part of the youth program “GenZ Pop Quiz” by SFC’s International Communication Centre, “Guangdong’s Emerging Brand” short video series interviews representative second-generation entrepreneurs in Guangdong, highlighting their adventurous spirit, innovative drive and hands-on leadership.
In this episode, we traveled to Foshan, Guangdong, for a face-to-face dialogue with Sherry Huang, Vice General Manager of ACL-SPIRO Industrial Equipment, Co.
Sherry Huang studied in the United States and France, worked as an art curator in Paris, and returned to China in 2020 to take over the family business. Transitioning from an environment immersed in art and fashion to the bustling noise of the factory floor brought entirely new challenges. Sherry’s casual post on social media venting about returning home to succeed to the family business unexpectedly went viral, resonating with many young people who shared similar experiences. This led to the creation of the “Second-gen Factory Community GOGOGO.” Within this ecosystem, “second-generation factory owners” share their growth and struggles in their family enterprises and explore ways together to drive innovation and development.
Let’s explore how this Gen Z “second-generation factory owner” unites young manufacturing talents to pursue innovative succession and forge new paths for private enterprise leadership transition.
