Oasis could be set to stay in the luxurious five-star InterContinental Hotel when they play their Irish gigs later this month.
Liam and Noel Gallagher are gearing up to play Dublin’s Croke Park on August 16 and 17. Insiders have revealed the brothers could stay almost 7km away from the northside stadium in the five-star hotel, in Ballsbridge in the south of the city where room prices start from €700 per night.
The property is nestled on two acres, boasting 215 bedrooms, five restaurants and bars and an award-winning spa for should the Gallaghers want to relax after their sold-out shows. As well as promising privacy to guests, the InterContinental includes different suites with balconies that offer differing views of the courtyard and city skyline and an Italian marble bathroom with many other additional amenities.
It isn’t the first time the Gallagher brothers have stayed there. In 2023, Noel hired a plush suite to conduct his press interviews for his High Flying Birds tour and to promote his new album.
Since The InterContinental group took over the former Four Seasons in 2014, it has enjoyed the same prestigious clientele as its predecessor. Sometimes, stars often prefer to stay in hotels on the outskirts of the city to avoid waiting photographers or being easily spotted by fans.
The InterContinental Dublin has hosted numerous celebrities over the years. Some notable guests include Mariah Carey in 2019, Justin Timberlake in 2013, Adele, and Britney Spears.
Mariah opted for the largest five-star suite at the hotel – and in the city – when she stayed there. She booked out the James Joyce Suite, at more than 2,600 square feet.
The hotel also features two smaller penthouse-style offerings in the form of the W.B. Yeats Suite and Lady Gregory Suite, both of which feature the same luxuries as the James Joyce-inspired room. The Spice Girls have also stayed at the hotel in 2019.
The hotel was rumoured to be the accommodation for the stars of the movie “Disenchanted,” including Patrick Dempsey and Amy Adams, according to VIP Magazine.
Tickets for the Oasis reunion sold out across all venues due to huge demand when they went online earlier in the year. However, there are still several options available for fans trying to snag a last-minute spot. Limited last-minute tickets can be bought from the official Ticketmaster resale site, where fans who can no longer go sell their seats, although these tend to go into and out of stock quickly. Elsewhere, resale sites like Viagogo, Vivid Seats, StubHub and Twickets are selling tickets for various dates, although fans should always bear in mind that many official sites, such as Ticketmaster and Live Nation, discourage the purchase of resale tickets.
Meanwhile Seat Unique has some VIP tickets available offering a host of additional perks alongside access to the gig.
