West Indies have regained a soupcon of pride with a ten-wicket thrashing of Nepal in the United Arab Emirates but their belated assertion of supremacy came too late to rescue the three-match T20 series.
Having been shot out for 89 on Monday, the lowest score by a Test nation against an associate one, to lose by 90 runs, the West Indies had to respond to that humiliation on Tuesday.
They did, rolling over Nepal for 122 then knocking off the runs with 7.4 overs to spare.
Amir Jangoo, 74 not out off 45 balls, and Ackeem Auguste, 41 not out off 29, combined to hit eight sixes and nine boundaries for the consolation win.
Nepal made a good start to reach 2-75 but then lost eight wickets in seven overs, the last five for 17 runs.
Left-arm fast bowler Ramon Simmonds took 4-15 in three overs. Nepal opener Kushal Bhurtal made 39 in 29 balls before being dismissed by West Indies captain Akeal Hosein.
