Players can run their own servers and earn rewards in WEMADE’s latest blockchain MMORPG.
South Korean game developer WEMADE has officially rolled out its new blockchain-based MMORPG Legend of YMIR to players worldwide, marking one of the company’s most ambitious global launches to date.
The title blends Norse mythology with play-to-earn (P2E) mechanics, integrating directly with WEMADE’s WEMIX PLAY ecosystem.
Following a domestic debut in South Korea, Legend of YMIR is now available on PC and mobile devices (iOS and Android) across Asia, North America, Europe, and South America.
Player-Run Servers and Blockchain Rewards
At the center is WEMADE’s new “Partner’s Server” feature, which allows individuals or community groups to purchase operational rights through auction, run their own servers, manage in-game events, and share in the resulting revenue. The first auction, held from October 16 to 26, sold out all ten available server slots, suggesting strong early interest.
Competitive play forms another major component. Every two weeks, servers engage in large-scale battles, with top performers earning spots in the YMIR Cup, an international tournament slated for early 2026 in Hong Kong.
Winners will receive prizes tied to WEMADE’s native WEMIX token, linking in-game success to tangible digital asset rewards.
To mark the global rollout, WEMADE has launched a series of promotional events, including NFT airdrops and a “Lucky Totem” campaign featuring a one-Bitcoin giveaway.
WEMADE is one of the few gaming studios to bring together decades of traditional game development with a working blockchain network. Its proprietary Layer-1 chain, WEMIX3.0, underpins a growing ecosystem that links in-game assets, NFTs, and digital payments.
Known for long-running franchises such as The Legend of Mir, MIR4, and the recent Legend of YMIR, the South Korean developer is using its blockchain to explore how virtual economies can operate beyond standard online gaming.
Why This Matters
With Legend of YMIR, WEMADE continues its push to merge traditional online gaming with blockchain infrastructure, positioning the project as an experiment in community-driven economies.
