Pederson was an unlikely hero for the Rangers on Monday night with a ninth-inning blast.
It was a wild one at Globe Life Field Monday between the Rangers and Yankees that saw the Rangers stage a dramatic comeback.
With the Rangers trailing 5-4 entering the ninth inning, Joc Pederson, who has been mired in a season-long slump, finally came through for Texas with a pinch-hit, game-tying solo home run off Yankees closer Devin Williams.
Newly acquired reliever Danny Coulombe came out for the 10th inning and delivered the Rangers a scoreless inning by turning an inning-ending double play off a comebacker.
With Corey Seager as the ghost runner in the bottom half of the 10th inning, the Rangers completed the comeback with a two-out, walkoff three-run home run from Josh Jung.
