
Authorities in Oman are working to contain a fire that broke out in Muscat Governorate, the Sultanate Police said on Tuesday.
Footage released by the Royal Oman Police showed aircraft circling the affected zone and releasing water in an effort to bring the fire under control.
An aerial support operation to contain the flames is being carried out by helicopters from the Police Aviation unit, in cooperation with the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority and specialised formations. Take a look:

The blaze broke out earlier today near Madinat Al Irfan in the Al Azaiba area of Muscat Governorate, the authority added. Authorities have not reported any casualties so far.
