
Multiple people have died after a gunman opened fire in a church in Michigan.
Emergency services are at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand Blanc.
Videos from the site show the church on fire and there are reports that the roof of the church is starting to collapse.
It is thought that the suspected shooter may have started the church on fire.
A police statement read: “There’s has been an active shooter at the church of Latter Day Saints on McCandlish Rd. There are multiple victims and the shooter is down. There is NO threat to the public at this time.
“The church is actively on fire. For people on site, the reunification site is the pavilion to the north. Offsite reunification will be at Trillium theater at Holly and McCandlish . PLEASE AVOID THE AREA!!”
The Mirror reports that the shooting was at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand Blanc, about 50 miles north of Detroit.
