Cats are incredible creatures. They live in your house and boss you around, all while looking so cute that you can’t say no to them. They’ll knock all your pictures over, drink from your water glass, get hair all over your furniture and clothes, and yet every single cat owner you ask will tell you that they can’t live without them. Why is that? Because cats know how to play us like a fiddle.
Cats evolved their meows to sound more like the cries of a human child. They literally built themselves to remind us of babies. That, combined with their purrectly graceful appearance and cute faces full of funny feline expressions make them practically impawssible to resist. Those head bonks they give us when they want our attention get us every time.
But why are cats the cure to male loneliness? Firstly, they’re extremely loving pets. Secondly, they can teach men some skills that might be contributing to their purrceived loneliness, like respect, patience, and sharing. These are some of the biggest issues women are having with men nowadays, and it just makes us giggle that something as simple as a cat could teach them how to act and communicate better.
Unlike dogs, cats are selective with their love. They don’t want your attention all the time, and they’re not afraid to tell you when they don’t want you to touch them. This teaches us that there is a time and place for everything, and we must learn to read the signs of how they’re feeling to gauge whether they want to be touched, or they want to be left alone (sound familiar, guys?).
On top of teaching their owners these valuable lessons, the most impurrtant thing they teach us is how to care for something other than yourself. You can’t be a good partner if you don’t know how to care for others, and if you don’t know how to do that, it makes sense that you’ll end up feeling lonely.
