Strictly Come Dancing viewers have been left completely devastated by Sunday’s results show, which saw one star narrowly missing out on the final.
In Saturday’s (December 13) semi final, the remaining couples Amber Davies and Nikita Kuzmin, George Clarke and Alexis Warr, Balvinder Sopal and Julian Caillon, and Karen Carney and Carlos Gu took on two dances.
The live show ended with bad news for some. Karen and Carlos topped the leader board, with a total score of 78. Amber and Nikita came in second place, with 77 points.
George and Alexis scored 72 points, placing them in third. Meanwhile, EastEnders star Balvinder and Julian scored a disappointing total of 70.
After the public vote, Balvinder and Amber landed in the bottom two alongside their professional partners, and battled it out in a final dance off.
While both couples put their all into the routine, it was Amber and Nikita who ultimately won the judges’ votes, meaning Balvinder was eliminated.
Viewers at home were less than impressed by the EastEnders star’s exit, with some claiming the odds weren’t in her favour.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one fan fumed: “Poor Bal didn’t stand a chance up against Amber doing couples’ choice – basically a West End routine….that she’s does every day. Total fix. #StrictlyComeDancing #Strictly.”
Another agreed, penning: “The celebrity (#Balvinder) who went from non-dancer to really really good, is sent home. The professional dancer, Amber, is sent to the final.” The same viewer then posted a gif stating “that’s a criminal offence”.
Someone else chimed in with: “@bbcstrictly well not surprised at all with the dance of result. You can’t tell me it was not rigged to get the “dancer” Amber into the final you never learn Strictly you have lost the point of the show non-dancers progress. Won’t bother watching the final I’m bored now.”
While a fourth viewer shared their emotional reaction: “I’m bawling. I’m gonna miss them so much man,” and a fifth wrote: “I’m gonna miss Bal so much :(( #strictly.”
Meanwhile, a final fan was moved by Julian tearing up as Balvinder shared her final words of appreciation with her partner.
“Oh I’m crying, Bal and Julian’s speeches to each other were so beautiful so so I’m going to miss their partnership so much, I am so proud of them and have loved watching them #strictly #TeamBalian #Strictly.”
The Strictly 2025 final takes place next Saturday (December 20), with remaining pairs Amber and Nikita, George and Alexis and Karen and Carlos vying for the glitter trophy.
