The Pittsburgh Steelers are expected to prioritize a wide receiver with the No. 21 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, with quarterback also under consideration. Arizona State wideout Jordyn Tyson, previously viewed as arguably the top receiver in the class, will not participate in on-field workouts at the NFL Combine due to a hamstring injury, limiting his participation to meetings and medical evaluations.
Tyson’s absence could impact his draft stock. If he falls into the range of picks 18-20, Pittsburgh, which holds 12 total selections, could consider trading up. The 6-foot-2, 195-pound receiver is coming off a 1,100-yard, 10-touchdown season and recorded 711 yards and seven touchdowns over his final nine games.
If Tyson slides further, it could also push other top receivers down the board, including Makai Lemon and Denzel Boston, who are projected behind Ohio State’s Carnell Tate. Their availability at No. 21 would also present value for Pittsburgh.
The Steelers’ level of interest in receivers will become clearer through formal Combine interviews, Senior Bowl meetings, and Top 30 visits. Multiple engagements with a prospect typically signal stronger draft consideration.
