After two months of absolute silence, Shytoshi Kusama makes waves on social media with one cryptic update.
Shiba Inu’s mysterious lead developer Shytoshi Kusama has just updated their location on X, piquing the interest of SHIB Army despite two consecutive months of silence. Switching his surroundings from Oslo, Norway to Hawaii, USA, this could serve as a subtle hint at new developments within the Shibarium Ecosystem.
Shytoshi ‘Shy’ Kusama, among the top ambassadors for the Shiba Inu (SHIB) community across the globe, has stood silent across social media since mid September, 2025. A tad bit earlier, Shibarium’s lead developer assured to be working alongside SHIB developer Kaal Dhairya to solve the $4 million Shibarium hack.
Why is the SHIB Army Buzzing About Shy’s Geo Location?
Typically, Shytoshi Kusama’s re-emergence on socials often precedes a partnership. As the leading developer has previously stated multiple times, Shibarium’s focus is to provide as many dApps (decentralized applications) as needed to onboard 1 billion Shibarians, fulfilling the original creator Ryoshi’s vision.
While the highly talked-about ‘Uptober’ didn’t turn out as expected, SHIB Army now relies on bullish news within the ecosystem for a much-needed utility boost. Even though the $4M Shibarium hack got resolved & new security measures implemented, the on-chain activity significantly dwindled since the incident.
Additionally, Shibarium’s partners K9 Finance DAO set up a 20 ETH bounty for the hacker to return the de-activated KNINE tokens. These initiatives have helped Shibarium restore a TVL of $3.03 million, matching the pre-incident locked-in value. However, the total value locked (TVL) is far from its $11M peak hit last year as SHIB succumbed to the broader crypto market downturn.
