The nationwide scheme runs from September 12 to September 21 and is designed to celebrate the country’s history.
The varied range of new events in Ringwood aims to give people a chance to look behind closed doors and learn about the town’s heritage and history.
People will also be able to take a tour of the town’s pubs.
The Ringwood Society’s events join regular independently organised events, such as the popular opportunity to visit Bisterne Manor.

The events include a guided tour of Greyfriars Community Centre on September 13, where local historian Mary Baldwin and manager Claire Alexander will give tours around the old house, including normally unseen areas such as the cellars.
Visitors will hear about the families who once lived there in previous centuries and their place in Ringwood’s history.
Other events on September 13 include an open day, guided tour, and walk at the Ringwood Meeting House and History Centre, a building of outstanding national merit.
There will also be a historical talk by local resident Andrea Rix about Ringwood’s history.
A 30-minute guided tour of Ringwood Parish Church will focus on its medieval parts, stained glass of national significance, and recently revealed wall paintings.
The tour will also include a chance to climb the tower to see the historic clock dating back to 1776, which is currently awaiting funds for restoration.
The Society’s historical pub tour on September 13 will visit all the local historical pubs in Ringwood, including The Elm, The London Tavern, and The White Hart.
The events are free, but advance booking is required.

Alex Bancroft, chairman of the Ringwood Society, said: “This has been the first year we have co-ordinated events for Heritage Open Days, though it has been something we have wanted to do for a couple of years.
“We have been very lucky to have been joined on our committee by an expert in this field and we are very grateful for her input.
“Ticket bookings have already been swift with some events already close to selling out, so get booking fast.
“We look forward to taking part in Heritage Open Days 2026 after the success of this year already and would welcome anyone with an historic or unusual property in Ringwood who would like to be involved next year to get in touch with us.”
