Chennai, Nov 30 (UNI) Hours after the BJP-led Government announced rechristening
the names of Raj Bhavans in the country as Lok Bhavans (People Bhavans) on the
request of Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi, the Whatsapp media group of Raj Bhavan
has been changed to the new name.
The Whatsapp group was created by Raj Bhavan to share invitations and all press
releases pertaining to the Governor’s functions, apart from his all social media posts.
The media Whatsapp group of which this reporter was a member, saw was
changed, thanks to Mr RaAvi’s request.
Following the Centre’s announcement on name change, the name of Raj Bhavan
media WhatsApp group was changed as Lok Bhavan.
Sources said the name of Raj Bhavan at the entrance was also expected to be
changed.
The Centre ona request from Mr Ravi today announced rechristening the names
of Raj Bhavans across the country as Lok Bhavans.
