ParalympicsGB has appointed Global, the Media & Entertainment Group, as its Official Audio and Outdoor Partner for the current Paralympic cycle through to the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games.
The multi-year partnership is designed to extend the reach of ParalympicsGB athletes and their stories to audiences across the UK, using Global’s audio, outdoor and digital platforms.
Under the agreement, ParalympicsGB content will feature across Global’s radio brands and podcasts, including athlete-led programming and behind-the-scenes material. Audiences will have access to interviews, training insights, competitions and activations intended to increase engagement with Paralympic sport.
The collaboration also includes nationwide outdoor activity across Global’s UK network, creating visibility for athletes and key moments in the build-up to the Games.
Anna Scott Marshall, Director of Communications and Social Impact, ParalympicsGB: “ParalympicsGB athletes have unique stories which embody resilience, ambition and demonstrate the power of sport to transform lives. This partnership with Global allows us to share these stories with millions across the UK. Through audio, outdoor and digital channels, we can highlight our athletes’ journeys in innovative new ways and build excitement as we look ahead to the Games.”
Mike Gordon, Chief Commercial Officer at Global: “We’re partnering with ParalympicsGB to bring the stories of its athletes to audiences across the country. By combining the reach of our audio and outdoor platforms and drawing on our experience of major sporting moments through Sport by Global, this collaboration will create opportunities to showcase ParalympicsGB and connect audiences with the athletes behind the performances.”
The partnership will be delivered with support from Sport by Global, Global’s branded entertainment division focused on sport. The unit brings together outdoor, audio, social and video capabilities to develop multi-platform content and audience experiences.
Together, ParalympicsGB and Global aim to increase the visibility of Paralympic sport, strengthen audience engagement and build momentum on the road to the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games.
