Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 21 (UNI) Industries Minister P Rajeeve, leading Kerala’s delegation at the World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting in Davos, held a series of discussions with global industry leaders, highlighting the State’s potential as a hub for future-ready investments across multiple sectors.

Engaging with business leaders from India and abroad, the minister has said Kerala has emerged as a preferred investment destination, backed by policy stability, digital governance, ease of doing business and a highly skilled workforce.

In talks with Malgorzata Mroczkowska-Horne, Director General of the Polish Confederation Lewiatan, Rajeeve explored avenues for strengthening economic cooperation between Kerala and Poland.

He expressed the State’s interest in hosting a Polish business delegation to develop partnerships, particularly in medical device manufacturing, IT and ITeS, digital services, biotechnology and innovation-driven industries.

Kerala’s strong infrastructure and investor-friendly ecosystem, he said, make it a natural partner for European companies looking to expand in India.

During a meeting with Pushkar Mukewar, CEO and Co-founder of Drip Capital, the Minister underlined the global scaling potential of Kerala’s export-ready small and medium enterprises, supported by innovative trade finance and proactive government policies. He invited Drip Capital to engage further with the State, including participation in TradeX Kerala 2026.

Discussions with Shyla Talluri, Founder and Global CEO of PURE, focused on collaboration in skilling, talent development and industry-academia partnerships, which the Minister described as critical to building a globally competitive workforce.

He said Kerala was keen to work with PURE through institutions such as the Kerala Institute of Entrepreneurship Development to align skills with emerging industry needs.

Rajeeve’s interaction with Rajeev Sinha, Founder and CEO of SINHAS GmbH, centred on expanding global market access for Kerala’s export-ready SMEs in spices and food processing, with emphasis on branding, distribution and integration into global value chains. Both sides explored the possibility of structured collaboration.

The Kerala delegation at WEF also includes Chief Secretary A Jayathilak, Additional Chief Secretary (Industries and Commerce) APM Mohammed Haneesh, senior officials from various departments, and KSIDC Managing Director P Vishnuraj.
