One certainty about Edmonton’s upcoming municipal election is that there will be a new person in the mayor’s chair after votes are cast on Oct. 20.
Mayor Amarjeet Sohi is not seeking re-election.
With nominations now closed, there are 13 candidates aiming to become Edmonton’s next mayor.
CBC News invited everyone seeking the mayoralty into the studio for an in-person interview with the hosts of either Edmonton AM or Radio Active.
Those conversations include a pitch from the candidates about why they think they belong in the top job, and dig into how they would manage the challenges that come with growth in a city that is now home to 1.2 million people.
