
A man sustained serious injuries after being attacked in Coventry. He was assaulted at the junction of Hales Street and Ringway Whitefriars.
Police were called to reports of a man in his 20s being attacked with weapons at around 12.55am on Wednesday, September 17. He suffered slash wounds to his head and leg.
Medics were dispatched and treated the man for his injuries, which are not believed to be life-changing. Detectives have launched an investigation into the incident and are reviewing CCTV.

Witnesses have been urged to get in touch with West Midlands Police. Information can also be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers.
In a statement to CoventryLive, West Midlands Police said: “We are investigating after a man in his 20s was attacked with weapons on the junction of Ringway Whitefriars and Hales Street, Coventry, just before 12.55am on September 17.
“We are reviewing CCTV footage and ask anyone who has any information about the incident to contact us by calling 101, quoting 20/379126/25.”
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called to reports of an assault on Hales Street at 1.19am on September 17. One ambulance, a paramedic officer and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance Critical Care Car attended. We discovered one patient, a man, and he was treated for potentially serious injuries.”
