
A man has been found dead after an early-hours “disturbance” in Airdrie.
Emergency services raced to Hamilton Drive after receiving reports of an incident at 12.15am on Thursday. Crews attended but the man, aged 30, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 27-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, where he is said to be in a stable condition. Police say inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing.
Police remain in the area at this time.
Detective Inspector Gary Smillie said: “Around 12.15am on Thursday, 18 September, 2025, officers were called to a report of a disturbance on Hamilton Drive, Airdrie.
“Emergency services attended and a 30-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. A 27-year-old man was conveyed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.
“Extensive enquiries into the incident are ongoing and there will remain a police presence in the area at this time.”
