I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! is set to return to ITV next month
The anticipation is building as the countdown to this year’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! has officially started.
The popular ITV programme is due to return next month, with a new group of celebrities ready to swap their luxurious lifestyles for the Australian outback.
While no official line-up has been announced yet, online rumours are already swirling about who might be participating.
Potential contestants such as Tommy Fury, Lisa Riley and Alex Scott have been suggested for the forthcoming series, reports the Express.
Although viewers will have to wait a bit longer to find out who will be braving the jungle, an exciting announcement was made during Thursday’s episode of Good Morning Britain.
Presenters Ed Balls and Ranvir Singh were joined by Joel Dommett and Kemi Rodgers on the show to reveal the news.
Ed queried, “What is the exclusive? !” To which Joel responded, “We’re back!”.
Joel confirmed that both he and Kemi would be returning as hosts of I’m a Celebrity… Unpacked, the ITV2 spin-off that gives fans a peek behind the scenes and features exclusive interviews with the celebrities.
When asked about their roles on the show, Joel said: “It really is mad watching them go through it, but it’s just great to get them straight away as soon as they come out the jungle.
“What’s really interesting about our show, first of all, you have the interview when they immediately come out, so they haven’t had the chance to talk to their agents, their PR, all of that stuff!”.
The presenting pair also chat to the celebrities the following day after their jungle exit, once they’ve had an opportunity to readjust to normal life somewhat.
When questioned about the incoming campmates, Joel and Kemi acknowledged they were kept in the dark as producers don’t share that information with them.
Intrigued, Joel enquired whether Ranvir and Ed would contemplate participating in the programme themselves, with one showing considerably more enthusiasm than the other.
Ranvir responded, “I’d do it I think! I’d give it a go.”
Ed, however, appeared far less convinced by the prospect.
He explained, “I was bitten by a rat when I was two years old and ever since then, I’ve got a massive rat phobia, it knocks me out.”
Joel urged bosses, “Well, get him in immediately!” The launch date for I’m A Celebrity remains unconfirmed, though it’s anticipated to begin next month.
Good Morning Britain is available to watch on ITVX.
