ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 4th Nov, 2025) The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) Engineer Chaudhry Khalid Mehmood has directed all field formations to launch an extensive awareness campaign on the government’s “Roshan Maeeshat Power Package” aimed at stimulating industrial and agricultural growth in the country.
The initiative, announced by Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Federal Minister for Energy Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari, offers significant relief to industrial and agricultural consumers.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday, the IESCO chief instructed field officers to engage directly with Chambers of Commerce, business representatives, industrialists, and agricultural organizations to ensure that all stakeholders are fully informed about the package and can benefit from the government’s facilitation measures.
Under this relief initiative on consumption of extra units industrial and agricultural consumers will be provided electricity at a concessional rate of Rs. 22.98 per unit for the next three years, instead of the previous rate of Rs. 38 per unit.
He further stated that IESCO is fully committed to ensuring effective implementation of government policies and to providing maximum facilitation to its consumers.
