GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – Hundreds of people gathered at the Greenville Convention Center today to explore available job opportunities in the surrounding area.
East Carolina University Career Services hosted a day-long job fair for ECU students and alumni. A general Career and Internship Fair was held from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and a Science, Engineering, and Technology Career Fair wrapped up the event from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Around 100 employers participated in the morning fair, while nearly 200 employers attended in the afternoon.
“I want them to be connected, find an opportunity that matches their interests, and start a career path,” said ECU Career Services Director Nadirah Pippen. “I want them to feel like they can sit down or stand up, in this case, make a connection with their skill set, and walk away with confidence in being able to navigate the job field.”
Organizers say the event allows attendees to build professional connections and secure interviews with potential employers.
