Hero MotoCorp Prayer Flag First-Aid Kit
Hero MotoCorp has launched a rider-safety initiative called ‘Prayers for Safety’ aimed at motorcyclists navigating the Himalayas. The program transforms traditional prayer flags commonly seen fluttering along mountain routes into compact, wearable first-aid kits. This addresses the challenges faced by riders in remote, high-altitude areas like Leh-Ladakh, where medical help is scarce.
Each flag contains essential medical supplies for treating minor injuries encountered during rides. Riders can access bandages, antiseptics, and other basics directly from the flags without needing a bulky separate kit. The design integrates safety into an item already familiar to travelers, who often mount prayer flags on bikes for good luck.

Many adventure motorcyclists head to Himalayan destinations with minimal medical preparations, relying on chance in isolated terrains. Distribution occurs through bike rental outlets, roadside cafes, and pick-up points in key riding hubs. This setup ensures riders can grab them en route, boosting accessibility in regions like Manali, Keylong, and Srinagar-Leh highways. The initiative was launched recently, with the initial rollout focusing on popular adventure circuits.
