Shark Tank India is back with season 5 and it is already on air. Times of India TV got in touch with Ritesh Agarwal, who spoke about his previous season disagreements of pitches with Aman Gupta. There were several deals, in which Ritesh and Aman were at loggerheads. While initially he tried to laugh it off but shared his reaction of genuine competitiveness onscreen and great friends off-screen.Ritesh shared, “Last year, one of our videos of mine, Aman, are actually, among the most viewed videos, on the internet, where, we are talking about our friendship. I think, Aman and I, have had a unique experience of sorts. We both come from different backgrounds but are very similar in the way we think about life. We both believe that, good entrepreneurs are going to be the next future. So we always bet behind the jockey, not the horse. We both care about companies or entrepreneurs, jo log thode cutting edge of innovation, cutting edge of culture ke aspaas mein.”He further added how, when they meet such pitchers, their natural competitive side comes out. He shared, “In such case, naturally, yeh hota hai, ki, bohot saari deals, hum log saath mein de rahe hota hai. Aur jab aap saath dete ho, both of us, naturally, want to win the deal. And when you want to win the deal, you do what it takes to win. So this year, there will be a very, fascinating pitch, that you will see. This year, we both give the deal. Hum dono ek dusre ki khichai karte hain. Fir uske baad mein, the entrepreneur says, aap saath aa jaoge kya? Aur jaate bhi hai. And then we try and, convince them, ki hum dono saath mein, bohot value create karte hai.” Speaking about their independent video he said, “We have our independent views, but at the same time, that doesn’t have any perspective on how we work together. And a good deal, every shark wants, that good deal, because everybody can see, that it’s a good deal. So everybody wants it. But, but I think, all said and done, I will tell you, Aman is one of the few entrepreneurs, who has seen through the, entire five season and has done extremely well for so many entrepreneurs. I worked with him on a bunch of deals, where we’ve done a co-deal together, and I’ve enjoyed doing it.”
