Emmerdale actress Isabel Hodgins has given birth to her first child as she shared the news online. Isabel, 32, famed for portraying Victoria Sugden in the ITV soap, shared the news on her Instagram account on Friday (February 13).
The actress shared a clip on her profile which announced their daughter was born on February 11. In the video, Isabel could be seen in the hospital before giving birth to her little girl, who she named Georgie Grace Whitehead.
Isabel posted the heartfelt video from the hospital, capturing the moment before giving birth, paired with the sound of her new-born’s first cries. She revealed that little Georgie weighed 8lbs 5 ounces.
She then put a caption which read: “On the 11th February at 1.02am… Georgie Grace Whitehead,” with the audio of her baby crying.
The soap star later shared a touching black and white polaroid of her holding her daughter from her hospital bed, captioning it: “And then we heard you,” followed by a pink love heart emoji.
Messages of love poured in from her Emmerdale co-stars. Danny Miller wrote: “Congratulations you three!! So happy for you all.” Daisy Campbell added: “Izzy!!! So proud of you! Welcome to the world little one.” While Laura Norton said: “Best ever. So happy for the 3 of you.”
Isabel first revealed she was expecting in August last year, just months after marrying Adam. She shared a sweet scan photo at the time with the caption: “First comes love, Then comes marriage, Then comes… Baby Whitehead.”
The couple had tied the knot in Manchester in April 2025, a year after becoming engaged. Isabel shared glimpses of her stunning bridal gown and the celebrations with friends and family.
In the soap, Victoria’s storyline has taken some dark turns ahead of Isabel’s maternity leave. Fans saw her confront shocking events during the Corriedale crossover, including killing her serial killer brother John when he tried to kidnap her.
Since then, Victoria has been blackmailed by Joe Tate, forced to sign over her share of the farm along with Robert to avoid prison. As the guilt mounts, the character struggles with what she’s done, leaving viewers wondering if Victoria will confess and face justice like her brother Robert or flee like Andy, sensing the net is closing in.
