A Nigerian woman has stirred mixed reactions online after expressing frustration over single motherhood and irresponsible men.
In a viral post, she revealed she had just paid her children’s school fees all by herself and vented her anger at the men who left her to handle the burden alone.
She wrote, “I just single-handedly paid my children’s school fees again. All I can say is may God punish all men who made us single mothers and left the responsibilities for us to handle alone. God go punish men. E no go better for una.”
The post immediately went viral, drawing hundreds of replies across X (formerly Twitter). While some sympathised with her, others accused her of hypocrisy and poor choices in relationships.
Several users weighed in, offering both criticism and advice. One user, dexxybaba, wrote: “You didn’t know he was irresponsible when you decided to pair with him… the signs are always obvious.” He advised women to avoid having children with men they already know are unreliable.
Another, alison_ibra, criticised her tone, saying: “Aren’t they your children too? Why so bitter about taking care of your own kids?”
Some users reminded her of previous interviews, where she allegedly admitted to being openly promiscuous and proud of it. A user, efe_edwards, commented: “Isn’t this the lady who said she has kids with two different men and plans to have more with others? She made poor choices and now blames men.”
Others echoed similar sentiments, saying her current struggles may be a consequence of her lifestyle choices.
