Coronation Street will air some dramatic scenes in the coming weeks – as the aftermath of the Corriedale crash rumbles on. The ITV soap will air some huge twists and turns as the truth about the crash can’t stay hidden forever.
In a new promotional video, the aftermath of the Corriedale crash has caused chaos as the lies and deceit refuses to stay hidden. Some characters have been struggling to cope with the loss of their loved ones, as their secrets are exposed.
With Billy’s funeral on its way, Theo is struggling to cope with what he did. Fans will remember how he clipped Billy back into the burning minivan, sealing his death – and ensuring he got Todd all to himself.
As he struggles to cope, Theo can be seen standing by Billy’s coffin – as he reflects on what he did and apologises for what happened to the coffin. A door slams and a horrified Theo realises someone has heard his confession – but who?
Shona, meanwhile, is struggling through the early days of her newborns arrival. She is praying for baby Harper as she awaits surgery which could save her life. Shona and David are clinging to hope – as Jodie appears.
Jodie was seen during Corriedale, where she ran through the woods escaping the van. What is Jodie hiding and what does she want and why is she getting back in touch with Shona?
Elsewhere, Carla saved Lisa’s life during the crash – but the remnants of Becky’s revenge have caused havoc on their relationship. Lisa is still trying to win Carla to have her back – but will they be able to rekindle things for good?
Debbie, meanwhile, is left vulnerable following the crash, where she took the rap for what happened. She is set to learn her fate after being charged with causing death by driving under the influence.
Whilst Kevin knows she is lying, he is unaware of the real truth – that Carl is Debbie’s son and not her brother. But how long can her lie keep up – and what will happen next?
Elsewhere on the soap, producer Kate Brooks previously teased a shock death will air in 2026. Speaking to The Mirror, she revealed: “We’ve got a special episode coming up mid-February, and in that episode, we are doing a little bit of a flash-forward.
“This is something that’s been in the making for a really long time, and it gives us a destination for some big stories, for them to all come together and be involved in a much bigger, bigger storyline.
“Essentially, during the course of our flash forward episode, we discover that one of our characters has found a dead body on the street, and we don’t know who it is.
“There are five potential victims and we’ll take the audience on a journey for them to try and figure out who that body is, what happened, what’s the backstory to it and how did they get to that place? Why did that person die and when did they die?”
