Vijayawada: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday held high-level meetings in the national capital and briefed Home Minister Amit Shah on the state’s development agenda and investment surge.

Naidu also congratulated newly named BJP’s national working president Nitin Nabin and praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.

Meeting Amit Shah at the Taj Palace Hotel, Naidu explained to him AP’s progress in major infrastructure and growth-oriented projects. He highighted the government’s focus on timely execution, strong institutions and transparent governance to sustain economic momentum.

The two leaders exchanged views on recent political developments in Andhra Pradesh and broader national issues, underlining the importance of better coordination between the Centre and the state.

Later, Naidu met BJP national working president and congratulated him on assuming the new organisational responsibility. Speaking to the media, he expressed confidence that the BJP would witness further growth under Nitin Nabin’s leadership. He lauded Prime Minister Modi, saying India was advancing at an unprecedented pace under his stewardship.

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken the brand India to a level where it is recognised and respected globally. Right time, right leader, right decision,” he said.

Describing Nabin as a young, dynamic, and proven leader, Naidu said the combined leadership of Modi and Nabin would guide India towards sustained development.

Naidu attended the CREDAI national conclave, interacting with real estate leaders and outlining Andhra Pradesh’s urban development vision, highlighting investment opportunities in housing, smart cities, and infrastructure-led growth.

Striking a political chord, the chief minister said YSR Congress chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was facing repeated setbacks over welfare schemes launched during his tenure. “His attempts to revive controversies are failing to impress the public.”

At a meeting with alliance MPs from the state at the TD parliamentary party office, he said the PPP model for medical colleges was the only issue Jagan Reddy could raise, but it had not found public acceptance. Jagan Reddy’s campaign to collect one crore signatures also failed to make an impact, he said.

Naidu advised MPs to study PPP policies at the national level to counter misinformation.

Several MPs cited successful hospital operations under PPP mode in Delhi and Gujarat.

Stressing that growing public recognition increased one’s responsibility, Naidu urged MPs to act with diligence, communicate the government’s policies effectively, expose the previous government’s failures and strengthen Andhra Pradesh’s voice at the national level.
