
TWO people have been taken to hospital following a six-vehicle crash on a main road between Evesham and Worcester.
The multi-car collision took place on the A44, Evesham Road, yesterday (February 14) morning, involving seven people and leaving a car on its roof.
The occupant of the upside-down Suzuki was able to remove themselves from the vehicle before the arrival of firefighters.
Police officers closed the road shortly after the crash at the Chadbury roundabout and in Fladbury.
A Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Two crews, one from Evesham and one from Pershore were called at 8.07am on February 14 to a road traffic collision involving six vehicles on the A44, Evesham Road, Wood Norton.
“One vehicle was off the road and on its roof.
“The person had self-extricated before we arrived.
“The incident involved seven casualties, two of whom were taken to hospital by ambulance.
“Five were discharged by paramedics at the scene.
“Firefighters made the vehicles safe and left the scene at 9.10am with police.”
West Mercia Police has been approached for comment.
