On July 15, 2025, Bybit EU established its European headquarters in Vienna, Austria. The ceremony was big and took place at METAstadt. More than 250 people from the financial, policy, academic, and blockchain sectors came together for the event.
They celebrated Austria’s rise as a crypto innovation hub under the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCAR). This event shows that Bybit EU is committed to building a regulated, open, and innovative crypto environment in Europe for the long run.
Bybit EU picked Vienna as its base on purpose since it is in the middle of Europe, has a strong legal and financial system, and has a highly educated, multilingual workforce. “We chose Vienna because it is clear, stable, and has a thriving ecosystem,” said Mazurka Zeng, CEO of Bybit EU.
The goal of this event is to make actual, long-lasting ties with the crypto community in Europe. Austria’s open-minded approach to new financial technologies and its changing sandbox model for digital assets make it the perfect place for Bybit to start its operations across Europe.
At the Vienna event, Mazurka Zeng introduced her new team and Bybit’s Board of Directors, showing off Bybit EU’s leadership. Ben Zhou, the CEO and co-founder of Bybit, gave a keynote speech in which he said, “Bybit EU is about setting a new standard not just in Austria but across Europe.”
This vision shows that Bybit EU wants to mix new ideas with following the rules to make a safe and user-friendly crypto ecosystem. The company’s dedication to local leadership makes it easier for them to engage with European markets.
The new European company Bybit EU GmbH is a licensed Crypto-Asset Service Provider (CASP) under MiCAR. Bybit.eu is the platform that this company uses to serve clients in the European Economic Area (EEA), except for Malta. It offers completely regulated services such as crypto custody, trading, and transfer. These services follow European rules, which safeguard investors and keep the market honest. Bybit EU is a frontrunner in the regulated crypto space since it follows MiCAR.
The launch in Vienna is more than just a milestone; it’s a sign that Bybit EU wants to help shape the future of crypto in Europe. The company is helping the local economy by seeking to hire more than 100 specialists in Vienna and working with Austrian universities to encourage blockchain research and education.
Bybit EU’s open-office idea is meant to make a place where developers, entrepreneurs, and partners can work together to come up with new ideas in a safe setting.
The opening of Bybit EU in Vienna represents a significant milestone for the European crypto scene. Bybit EU is ready to offer safe, open, and easy-to-use crypto services by working with MiCAR and taking advantage of Austria’s cutting-edge ecosystem.
Ben Zhou stated that the launch demonstrates Bybit EU’s commitment to enduring, expanding, and creating a reliable crypto future across the continent.
