Australia’s Fitell Corporation has expanded its digital asset treasury by purchasing 216.8 million Pump.fun (PUMP) tokens for $1.5 million. The company confirmed the transaction on Thursday, marking its first direct acquisition of PUMP and signaling an overall push into the Solana ecosystem.
The company revealed that the tokens have been distributed to its corporate treasury. Pump.fun is the native token launchpad on Solana, which has quickly become a platform of memecoin launches and community-driven projects. By adding PUMP to its reserves, Fitell hopes to diversify its holdings and bolster exposure to one of the fastest-growing blockchain ecosystems.
On October 1, 2025, Fitell was able to complete the $1.5 million transaction, acquiring the 216.8 million PUMP tokens. Just a day later, PUMP rose by 26%, as a result of rising investor interest and Solana’s momentum in digital asset markets. The increase was so sharp, it highlighted the time of Fitell’s purchase, which coincided with a wave of liquidity coming into Solana-based tokens.

Chief Executive Officer Sam Lu applauded how quickly the company was able to execute the process. They again went from decision to execution reasonably quickly, he said. Further, he added that the move increases Fitell’s involvement in Solana’s expansion narrative, while ensuring the treasury is still positioned to capture opportunities for the long-term for stakeholders. The firm also assured that periodic updates will be available as the expansion of the treasury continues.
The acquisition comes at a time when Solana is growing in influence in the digital economy.
