Just yesterday, details of Apple’s entire M5 generation Mac lineup emerged online. Of those, AppleInsider reported that the entry-level MacBook Pro would be refreshed before the end of the month to replace the current Apple M4-based model (curr. $1,399 on Amazon). By contrast, higher-end MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models are not due to arrive until spring 2026.
According to Mark Gurman, the MacBook Pro 14 is one of three Apple M5-powered devices that Apple will be launching ‘as early as this week’, assuming the week starts on a Sunday. Writing in his latest Power On newsletter, the analyst adds that updated iPad Pro tablets and a second Vision Pro headset will officially arrive during the same period, details of which leaked earlier this month.
Gurman has not provided a specific launch date, though. Instead, the analyst expects Apple to present the trio via press releases rather than a dedicated launch event. Presumably, Apple will not make these announcements tomorrow, which would clash with Columbus Day in the US. Thus, we suspect that new iPad Pro, MacBook Pro and Vision Pro launches will occur mid-week.
