Apple expected to announce these 3 products this week

Apple is expected to unveil three new products this week, the iPad Pro, Vision Pro, and 14-inch MacBook Pro, all powered by the new M5 chip, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. Here’s everything to know about the upcoming launches.

Apple fans might not have to wait much longer for new devices. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the company is gearing up to announce three refreshed products this week — the iPad Pro, Vision Pro, and the base 14-inch MacBook Pro — all expected to feature Apple’s next-generation M5 chip.

Unlike Apple’s usual launch events, these products will likely be unveiled quietly through press releases on the Apple Newsroom website and short promotional videos on YouTube. Since Monday is a holiday in the U.S. and Canada, announcements could drop as early as Tuesday or later this week.

The new iPad Pro has already made a premature appearance in a couple of unboxing videos from Russia, confirming some key details. The device is said to feature the M5 chip, 12GB of RAM, and slightly tweaked branding — the words “iPad Pro” have been removed from the back. However, the overall design remains unchanged. Despite earlier rumors suggesting dual front cameras, the leaked units still show a single front camera setup.

Performance-wise, the M5 chip reportedly has a 9-core CPU with three performance and six efficiency cores. Benchmarks hint at a 12% boost in CPU and up to 36% faster GPU performance compared to the M4 chip in the current model.

The updated Vision Pro headset is also expected to get the M5 chip, along with a possible R2 chip for better input processing — though that may not arrive until next year. The new model could include a more comfortable “Dual Knit Band”, a Space Black color option, and continued Wi-Fi 6 support. Gurman notes that Apple has paused development of a true next-generation Vision Pro and the rumored lightweight “Vision Air,” choosing to focus instead on smart glasses for now.

Finally, the base 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M5 chip is reportedly ready for launch. No major design changes are expected this time, but bigger upgrades — including OLED displays, touchscreens, and M6 chips — are said to be coming in future models.

While new versions of the Apple TV, HomePod mini, and AirTag remain on Apple’s roadmap, they’re not expected to launch this week. Gurman adds that early next year could bring updates to the iPad Air, MacBook Air, Studio Display, and even a new iPhone 17e.

For now, all eyes are on Apple’s next quiet wave of M5-powered devices — proof that even without big events, the company knows how to make headlines.
