Global payments group behind WorldRemit and Sendwave launches new digital wallet built on Solana.
Zepz, the global payments group behind WorldRemit and Sendwave, has launched the Sendwave Wallet, a stablecoin-backed peer-to-peer money solution designed to make cross-border payments faster, more reliable, and affordable. With over $15 billion in annual remittance volume, Zepz is extending its reach beyond traditional money transfers to address the broader financial needs of its global customer base.
The Sendwave Wallet allows users in more than 100 countries to send, store, and spend Circle’s $USDC stablecoin on the Solana network. The wallet aims to bring speed, transparency, and financial empowerment to communities that rely heavily on cross-border transactions.
The Sendwave Wallet is built with customers at its center. Through the Sendwave app, users can open a digital dollar balance, send or receive money, and deposit funds directly. It aims to make it as easy to send money as it is to send a message.
Mark Lenhard, CEO of Zepz, explained that the launch reflects the company’s mission to meet the needs of global communities more holistically. “The financial lives of cross-border communities are far more complex and personal than traditional remittance transactions,” he said. “With Sendwave Wallet, we’re giving customers throughout the Global South a trusted, intuitive way to control their money. This is about stability, choice, and dignity for the communities we serve.”
The wallet builds on Zepz’s established global payout network, enabling users to withdraw $USDC through trusted local partners into fiat currency. In the coming months, Zepz plans to expand the wallet’s capabilities, allowing users to make real-world payments directly from their digital balance using payment cards and QR codes.

The Sendwave Wallet leverages the Solana blockchain for its speed, scalability, and cost efficiency. Solana’s growing stablecoin ecosystem reached a record $17.48 billion in total supply in October, highlighting its role as a hub for digital dollars in decentralized finance.
Framing the announcement, Lily Liu, President of the Solana Foundation, remarked, “Solana is well-positioned to power cross-border payments due to the network’s speed and scalability. Zepz’s launch of the Sendwave Wallet marks another step in the company’s ongoing evolution from a remittance provider to a global financial platform. The firm plans to expand its offering to include features such as rewards on deposits, global payment card access, and bill payments, giving customers more practical ways to use digital dollars in everyday life.
This announcement also follows Zepz’s July partnership with Circle to integrate $USDC for backend settlement, a move aimed at improving liquidity management and reducing settlement times. Together with its new wallet, these developments demonstrate Zepz’s strategy to modernize cross-border payments while maintaining accessibility and trust for millions of users worldwide.
While other payment companies, such as MoneyGram, have begun offering similar wallet experiences using stablecoins, Zepz’s Sendwave Wallet distinguishes itself by combining years of remittance expertise with Solana’s speed and scalability.
