If you were hoping Zendaya and Tom Holland were deep into wedding planning, you’ll be disappointed to learn it sounds like they’re going to have a long engagement. Her longtime stylist, Law Roach, recently revealed they haven’t started talking wedding dress plans, because Zendaya is booked and busy.
Zendaya revealed their engagement when she wore her engagement ring to the 2025 Golden Globes. One of the first things brides start thinking about is the dress they will walk down the aisle in, but Roach told E! News earlier this month, “The process hasn’t even started yet.” “Zendaya is working on so many movies,” he said, “She’s now filming the next iteration of Dune, so she’s away doing that.”
Roach, who’s been styling Zendaya since 2011, made it clear they’re in no rush. “It’s so many movies, so we have time,” he said. “We have a lot of time.” According to her IMDb, Zendaya has Shrek 5 (2026) in production, Dune: Part Three (2026), and The Odyssey (2026) in production. Spider-Man: Brand New Day (2026), which will reunite the couple, is in pre-production.
Zendaya has rocked bridal core several times in the past, but when it comes to her own special day, Roach made it clear, “Zendaya will be a secret bride.”
“Secret” will probably be a major theme for the couple’s wedding. They are super low key, and Holland kept his proposal private. He reportedly popped the question between Christmas and New Year’s in one of her family homes with just the two of them present. “They both value their privacy, so the proposal was something the Uncharted star wanted to keep private as well.”
It’s something Holland has always stood for. He told The Hollywood Reporter in 2023 that he wants to keep their relationship as “sacred” as possible. “We don’t think that we owe it to anyone,” he said, “It’s our thing, and it has nothing to do with our careers.”
Zendaya appreciates it too. In 2023, she told Elle, “Parts of my life, I accept, are going to be public,” adding, “I can’t not be a person and live my life and love the person I love. But also, I do have control over what I choose to share.”
Despite the couple’s appreciation for privacy, it’s clear they love each other. Which is something Roach sees as well. “I’m really excited because I know that they really love each other and they have for a really long time,” he said. “The fact that the world has been able to share in that love story, I think, is really beautiful.”
Roach had previously opened up about their wedding in May, telling Complex, “They’re trying to be as private as possible. There won’t be a Vogue spread or there won’t be pictures of the wedding, and the people who she will invite will be really respectful of their privacy, so it will be a really beautiful dress that no one gets to see.” Whatever she wears, there’s no doubt she’s going to look incredible.
