YouTuber Brandon Buckingham, known for his documentaries and man-on-the-street style interviews, recently shared a shocking health revelation and is asking fans for financial help.
Over the weekend, the influencer took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the scary health update with his fans.
While lying in a hospital bed, looking weak, he shared a video of himself explaining how he woke up a few days prior, having no recollection of where he was and was completely deaf.
The 30-year-old was rushed to urgent care and ultimately the ICU, a breathless Buckingham explained in the social video, which now has almost 3.5 million views.
Doctors believe the star has acute systolic heart failure, kidney failure and liver failure, but the cause is unknown as of now. The point of the video was not only to update the public on what he was going through but also to ask for financial help for his 11-month-old baby and stay-at-home wife.
Not knowing what the future holds for him and whether he’ll survive or not, the YouTuber captioned the heartbreaking video: “I almost died and I need your help — I don’t like to ask you guys for anything but I am in a dire situation and this is my only option. I’ve created a GoFundMe to help my family and I in this trying time – god bless everyone who has sent kind messages I really appreciate it.”
Just two days before this plea, Buckingham shared on X, “In the ICU, my heart is failing, my lungs are failing, my liver and kidneys are failing. Things are not looking good my friends. I love you guys.”
Thousands of people, many fans of his, others just kind strangers, rushed to the comment section of the 30-year-old’s post, offering words of support and encouragement.
“Been where you are when I was 24. COVID vaccine gave me a heart attack. You got this, hang in there. If I can make it out so can you. Stay strong.”
“Just donated. My heart hurts that you’re going through this. You’re such a bright light in this world and there is so much more ahead for you. I’m here for anything you need.”
“Don’t know you but so sorry for what you’re going through- just donated, really hope you recover and can get past all this.”
