She spoke to ELLE earlier this week about what a “whirlwind” the past few months have been amid Bridgerton season 4’s release.
Bridgerton’s Yerin Ha is playing a big role at this evening’s Actor Awards, formerly known as the SAG Awards, as both a presenter and the ceremony’s official 2026 ambassador. As such, the star stepped out in one of the night’s chicest takes on the show’s first-ever red carpet theme, set by ELLE, “Reimagining Hollywood Glamour From the ’20s and ’30s.”
Ha wore a white fringe crop top featuring petal fringe embroidery with tailored black pants from Balenciaga’s Summer 2026 collection. She accessorized with the house’s black Bolero B belt and Duchesse pumps.
At ELLE and the Actor Awards’ Actors Rising event on Thursday, the Australian star spoke to ELLE about stepping into the ambassador role.
“It came as a big surprise to me as well, but when I heard that I was going to be the ambassador, it was such a big honor,” she said. “Especially with the Actor Awards, it’s truly a ceremony for the actors, and to be recognized for my work and to be put in this position is such an honor and a privilege. I’m such a lover of the craft and collaboration. So to be able to talk to other actors about how they have gotten to where they are, and about their struggles and their identities, is something that I’m constantly wanting to learn. I’m a big believer of constantly growing. And I think a lot of that comes through communication in your community.”
She continued, “[I’ll be] hoping to meet other Asian actors and building a connection with them as well. Because I’m from Down Under, I feel like I’m very far away from people. So to be in this space and to talk about what it means, what art is for us, I think is really important.”
Amid Bridgerton season 4’s full release this week, Ha admitted that the past few months have “been a whirlwind! I think the part that people don’t really tell you about is the whole press bit, because I started acting not to present myself, but so I could be other people. So it’s a bit ironic actually, but I’m just trying to stay present and be grateful for what I’m doing. It’s a gift and not everyone gets to be in this position. So I’ve actually enjoyed myself, and I surprised myself because I know Luke [Thompson, who plays her love interest, Benedict Bridgerton, on the show] and I are a little bit similar in that sense, but we were even just voice-messaging today about how we feel like we’ve done it as authentically as we can throughout this time. It also included lots of laughs and giggles.”
