New anonymous predictions on 4chan have presented a possible 2026 peak for Bitcoin, which could impact altcoins like XRP.
The crypto market started the year strong, but after the global market cap hit a two-month peak of $3.21 trillion on Jan. 6, what followed was a four-day correction phase, which pushed the market to $3.05 trillion. Now, Bitcoin and the rest of the market have begun a rebound push, with the global market cap recovering the $3.1 trillion mark.
New 4chan Prediction Sets $190K as Bitcoin’s 2026 Peak
Amid this rebound effort, XRP has also held strong above the psychologically important $2 level, as it follows the direction of Bitcoin and the broader market, confirming a close price correlation. Notably, this price correlation can be beneficial for XRP in situations where Bitcoin soars to greater heights, and recent predictions expect such a rally to occur this year.
Specifically, a recent anonymous forecast on the imageboard platform 4chan has again projected what could be Bitcoin’s peak price for this year. Notably, market pundits often take these anonymous 4chan predictions seriously due to their incredible accuracy. However, some argue that multiple wrong predictions typically emerge on the platform, but only the accurate ones gain media exposure.
The latest 4chan projection suggests that Bitcoin could rise to an all-time high of $190,000 in 2026. This would represent a 107% increase in Bitcoin’s price from the current level of $91,684. Notably, veteran investor NoLimit believes BTC could only reach $190K in 2029.
In the same breath, the recent 4chan prediction sets a peak 2026 price of $15,000 for Ethereum (ETH), marking a 376% rise from current prices. For Solana (SOL), they expect a 604% surge to $1,000.
XRP Price if Bitcoin Reaches $190K
Interestingly, market commentator Mark Chadwick called the public’s attention to these predictions and then presented where he believes other altcoins like XRP could reach based on Bitcoin’s trajectory. Notably, data from Macroaxis shows that Bitcoin and XRP share a 91% correlation coefficient, suggesting that both have “almost no diversification.”
This indicates that if Bitcoin soars to the $190,000 mark, XRP’s price will likely see similar gains. However, XRP often surges higher due to its much smaller market cap. For instance, while BTC rose 8.3% to $94K during the rally earlier in the year, XRP surged by a more substantial 31% within the same period.
Considering XRP’s penchant for more outsized growth, Chadwick suggested that if Bitcoin rose 107% to a peak of $190,000 in 2026, XRP could hit a new all-time high of $12 to $15 this year. With XRP currently changing hands at $2.06, this target would mark a 482% to 628% increase for the altcoin.
Notably, this $12 to $15 prediction represents a much higher target than the $8 projection from leading global bank Standard Chartered. Meanwhile, analysts at Changelly believe XRP will reach a peak of $3.49 by December 2026. However, Telegaon expects a possible run to $5.18.
