FRNT, overseen by the Wyoming Stable Token Commission, has begun live testing on Hedera with on-chain reserves attested.
In a recent breakdown, a popular crypto-focused market connoiseur highlighted what may become one of the first fully reserved, state-backed stablecoins to test live issuance on Hedera Hashgraph — a development that, if it holds, nudges public ledgers deeper into formal government finance.
Wyoming tests FRNT stablecoin On HBAR
Crypto Sensei zeroed in on Wyoming’s stable token initiative, noting that the Wyoming Stable Token Commission has published its January 2026 reserve attestation for “FRNT,” described as a fully reserved, state-backed stablecoin. According to the document shown in the video, roughly 1.465 million FRNT units are in circulation, with reserves independently verified.
The key new detail is technical rather than monetary: the commission has begun testing deployment of FRNT on the Hedera network, with a “100% reserved FRNT balance live on Hedera.”
Public availability, the host said, is slated to follow cross-chain bridging and smart contract verification. FRNT is already indicated as existing across multiple chains, including Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, Ethereum, Hedera, Optimism, Polygon, and Solana (SOL).
The Wyoming effort is framed as a government-issued, fully backed digital dollar aimed at compliant payments, treasury operations, and institutional use, with an emphasis on transparency and low-cost settlement. Testing on Hedera is presented as a signal of “enterprise grade performance and regulatory alignment” being prioritized from the outset.
Hedera’s Expanding Enterprise Footprint
To contextualize the choice of infrastructure, Crypto Sensei played a clip in which a Hedera representative described the network as “just plumbing” — a trust layer that only becomes meaningful when applications, compliance, and user interfaces are built on top. The analogy: Hedera is the concrete slab, not the house; real value accrues to the layer above.
Network stats shown in the video underscore that foundation: more than 71 billion lifetime transactions, 10,000+ transactions per second capacity, around 9.47 million accounts, roughly 562,000 transactions in the preceding 24 hours, sub-three-second finality, and extremely low energy use per transaction (0.000003 kWh).
The host also highlighted a dense web of enterprise and institutional touchpoints cited in a separate clip: asset managers like abrdn, market infrastructure such as SIX Digital Exchange, global consultancies (KPMG, BCG), large tech firms (Intel, NVIDIA, Dell, IBM, ServiceNow, Tech Mahindra), payment-related initiatives involving FedNow, Visa, and the Bank of Ghana, as well as United Nations and energy-sector pilots, among others.
The message: Hedera is positioning across finance, supply chains, identity, and public-sector systems.
AI integrity, Market Behavior & Positioning
One of the more novel angles involves artificial intelligence. A video segment from “Equity Lab” — described as working with NVIDIA and Intel — introduced “Verifiable Compute,” labeled as a first hardware-based solution to govern and audit AI workflows using blockchain.
In that design, Hedera acts as the foundational trust layer, recording cryptographically notarized, time-stamped events from compatible Intel CPUs and NVIDIA GPUs, creating auditable trails of AI computations for sectors like finance, healthcare, media, and public services.
On the token side, Crypto Sensei cited a prior 10x move in HBAR’s price from roughly $0.04 to $0.40, arguing that the most recent rally of similar magnitude occurred faster despite a substantially larger circulating supply.
The point, in his view, is that growing adoption and infrastructure build-out may be offsetting dilution. He added that he has been buying HBAR at current levels and would continue to do so on dips, while also expecting stronger years ahead for assets like XRP and HBAR once clearer regulation arrives.
For investors and analysts, Wyoming’s state-backed stablecoin tests on Hedera, combined with enterprise AI governance experiments and multi-sector partnerships, suggest that public ledgers are quietly becoming embedded in highly regulated, system-critical workflows — a trend that may not move prices linearly, but is increasingly difficult to ignore.
