Welsh opera singer and broadcaster Wynne Evans has issued an apology to his listeners after being forced to cancel his daily radio programme this morning. Taking to social media on July 23, Wynne warned fans that his studio had suffered an unexpected technical failure, preventing him from going live.
“My studio has gone down!!! At the moment I can’t get on air. If I can’t, I shall play a past show. Please still listen,” he posted. The hiccup meant that the live broadcast of The Wynne Evans Show, which airs weekdays from 9am to 12pm on his independent platform could not go ahead as planned.
Instead, a pre-recorded episode was played in its place.
The presenter has said his show, which features a mix of music, chat, and guest interviews, has built a loyal following since its launch in June

Wynne launched the programme after parting ways with the BBC earlier this year, when he was dropped from his Radio Wales show.
His exit came in May after he apologised for using “inappropriate language” during the launch of the Strictly Come Dancing tour.
Famous for his appearances in the Go.Compare insurance adverts, many fans were quick to offer their support and reassurance following the technical blunder.
One listener posted, “Don’t panic. Take a deep breath and start again. XXX”. Another chimed in, “A repeat show is better than nothing.”
While others expressed their understanding with messages like, “Don’t worry Wynne Evans! These things happen,” and “As long as we can listen to you it’s OK. Have a coffee then try again later.”
Wynne has not yet confirmed whether the issue has been resolved for future broadcasts.
The singer is expected to return to his regular live schedule tomorrow, pending the resolution of the technical problem.
