Raj Kapoor is a prominent figure in the blockchain and emerging technology space, known for his leadership of the India Blockchain Alliance (IBA), which he founded in 2018. The IBA is India’s largest technology think tank focused on blockchain and distributed ledger technologies.
Raj’s career spans entrepreneurship, education, and mentorship, with a specialisation in blockchain, artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, robotics, and the Internet of Things (IoT). He has worked on multiple blockchain projects, including designing four blockchains and establishing both decentralised and centralised exchanges. He has shown a keen interest in applying blockchain technology across various sectors, including renewable energy.
Raj has been active in promoting blockchain education and awareness, collaborating with over 350 institutions worldwide and establishing Centres of Excellence to provide training and certification. His efforts extend to advisory roles for more than 60 companies globally, and he also serves as Chairman of the Global Alliance for Artificial Intelligence and Innovation.
His initiatives support sustainable development, with projects aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
