Wolverhampton Wanderers could look to bring Chelsea duo Axel Disasi and David Datro Fofana to Molineux in the remaining weeks of the transfer window, according to reports – with the west Midlands outfit having cash to spend after two major sales in the transfer window this summer.
Wolves have brought in Fer Lopez from Celta Vigo, as well as last season’s loanee Jorgen Strand Larsen on a permanent deal from the Galician side – whilst John Arias has joined from Fluminense, alongside Eredivisie defender David Moller Wolfe. But there is much money for incomings, and that could see the Blues duo move to the Midlands for regular game time.
Report: Wolves ‘Eyeing’ Move for Disasi and Fofana, Could Reach £45million
The report by CaughtOffside states that Wolves aren’t wasting any time in strengthening their squad, with a double move for Chelsea duo Disasi and Datro Fofana in their sights.
The Blues pair are both surplus to requirements in the capital, meaning that they are free to move to other clubs – and with Wolves needing a centre-back, and more so a striker after losing Matheus Cunha to Manchester United, they’ve both become options as the window ticks down to its final weeks.
The Molineux outfit have formally approached Chelsea to learn of information on the availability and terms for their two outcasts, with Vitor Pereira thought to be an admirer of Disasi’s physical nature and leadership at the back, as well as Fofana’s raw pace and finishing.
Although there are other clubs interested, Chelsea would still want around £25million to £30million for Disasi, whilst £15million would be enough to bring Fofana to the west Midlands.

Fofana joined Chelsea in January 2023, but only made four appearances in all competitions for the club, racking up loan spells at the likes of Union Berlin, Burnley and Turkish side Goztepe – scoring four goals in 15 games at Turf Moor as he failed to keep Vincent Kompany’s side in the division.
Disasi, meanwhile, has been more prominent at Stamford Bridge, making 31 appearances in his first Premier League season under Mauricio Pochettino – however, a change in management to feature under Enzo Maresca means that he failed to feature much in the top-flight, with just 13 games in the Premier League for both Chelsea and Aston Villa last season.
A move to Wolves would see him become a starting option under Pereira, despite Levi Colwill having suffered a knee injury earlier this season to throw a spanner in Maresca’s defensive works.
