Kelly Clarkson is steering clear of jumping back in the dating pool.
The “Since U Been Gone” singer addressed her reason for staying single while on stage at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace during her “Studio Sessions” residency in Las Vegas.

“Dating can be very difficult, which is why I don’t,” Clarkson said. “It’s hard anyway; add a spotlight and it’s a like a…dumpster fire.”
The 43-year-old singer and TV personality recently told Jenna Bush Hager on “Today with Jenna & Friends” she’s not interested in finding love again because she’s “very busy” – which is understandable between working on her own eponymous talk show and raising her two kids, daughter, River Rose, 11, and son, Remington, 9.
Clarkson continues to get candid about her former failed relationships. Earlier this year, she poked fun at her divorce from ex-husband Brandon Blackstock at her New Jersey performance on May 9.
“We learn from our parents, [who] learn from their parents. We keep repeating the same horrible s — t over and over,” Clarkson said on stage. “Now, it turns out that I chose the same f—ing path.”
She and Blackstock finalized their divorce in 2022 after nearly 7 years of marriage, with Clarkson receiving full primary custody of their children. Clarkson is now raising her family as a single parent in New York.

During her Vegas residency, the mom-of-two brought her eldest child, River, on the road as a special guest performing a crowd-pleasing duet. The adorable mother-daughter duo belted out Clarkson’s hit “The Heartbeat Song, “off her sentimental 2015 album “Piece by Piece,” which happens to be River’s “favorite song.”
Clarkson is set to perform in Sin City through November 15.
