Controversial street-hop artiste, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has revealed why he plans to return to school — saying education will help him balance fame with professionalism and manage his music career better.
The singer disclosed this in a video shared on his Instagram page, where he spoke about the importance of education despite his success in the entertainment industry.
Portable, who holds an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) from Kwara State Polytechnic, explained that his decision to continue his studies stemmed from a desire to grow intellectually and set a good example for his children.
“I wan go back to school. I want to finish my education. I dey sponsor people’s children and my own children too. I don’t want my children to be mocked that their father is illiterate.
“I didn’t collect the certificate for the ND programme that I did in Kwara State Polytechnic. But as I don make am now, I wan go back to school so that I will be able to manage my music career better, and it will also help in my dealings with people,” he said.
