Singer-songwriter Conrad Sewell is joined by local indie band Shorehaven for a night of music under the stars. Bring a picnic blanket, grab some dinner from one of the food trucks, and enjoy the music. There is also roving entertainment from Acrobatch, kids’ activities from Art Jam WA, and youth makers’ markets.

Perth Moves
Saturday February 21 to 28, various times, Forrest Place, Perth
This festival of dance is part of Perth Festival and there are plenty of opportunities to not only watch dance, but participate in the performance. On February 21 from 6pm there is an all-in dance battle, with a DJ, MC and an expert panel of judges — go show off your moves. From February 26-28, there is Cercles, an open-air dance workshop. French choreographer Boris Charmatz invites 150 amateur dancers to a workshop with a dozen professional dancers. Watch the project evolve in public from 5.30pm to 8.30pm.

Symphony on the Green

This family-friendly concert has conductor Jen Winley leading the WA Symphony Orchestra and supported by vocalists Annie Aitken and Lorina Gore, and saxophonist Matthew Styles. There will be food and drink available to purchase. Low chairs, cushions and picnic rugs are encouraged.

Yirra Yaakin Annual Family Picnic
Sunday February 22, 3pm to 6pm, Subiaco Arts Centre grounds, Subiaco
Bring a picnic and a rug and enjoy an afternoon of entertainment. There will be a traditional Noongar dance performance by Wadumbah Aboriginal Dance Group, live music from an exciting line-up of Indigenous artists, including DJ Macca, Bella-Rae, ICONYX, and Rhythm Tide, face painting and more. Food can be purchased at stalls by Kuditj Kitchen featuring native-inspired treats and Crumbs Patisserie.

OMG Festival

This four-day festival is a celebration of light, storytelling and community. There will be large-scale light installations, interactive artworks, live music, food, roving performers and The Falcon — a 4m high puppet. Each night features different events, with the biggest night being the Saturday.
