On July 1 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., the American Red Cross will host a blood drive at the library. Donors can go to redcrossblood.org and use sponsor code PDL to sign up for a donation time. The donation center will be set up in the library’s Cozy Corner.

The ISU Integrative Physiology Lab will visit the library on July 9 at 1 p.m. for an interactive program including live beetles and animal pelts. Patrons of all ages can join.

On July 10 at 1 p.m., the library will host their Read-What-You-Want Book Club for patrons ages 18 and up to chat about their current reads, hear about what others are reading and enjoy snacks.

The library will also host movies in the Teen Zone on July 10. Patrons of all ages can stop by the library at 3:30 p.m. to enjoy a movie.

Teen Late Night will be on July 11 from 7 to 9 p.m. Teen Late Night is a casual hang-out for kids ages 12 to 18 with snacks and optional activities. Check Portneuf District Library’s Facebook and Instagram accounts the week of the event for details.

On July 18 from 1 to 2 p.m., patrons of all ages can stop by the library to design and launch stomp rockets.

The Idaho Museum of Natural History’s mobile Idaho dinosaur exhibit will visit the library on July 25 from 1 to 2 p.m. Patrons can see fossils and learn about the dinosaurs of Idaho.

No regular summer programming will be held July 1 through July 4.

Regular summer programming will resume on July 8 with STEM activity kits for kids 18 and under.
