Cops are still nowhere close to solving the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie.
At least that’s what an expert thinks after watching the latest video from Savannah Guthrie…
Before the second ransom deadline on Monday, the TODAY show host appeared solo in a video posted to Instagram for the first time since her 84-year-old mother went missing over a week ago. She begged the public not only for their continued prayers, but also to help find Nancy, even if they are not in the Tucson area, because she and her family “are at an hour of desperation.” Watch (below):

Former CIA member and FBI special agent Tracy Walder is now weighing in on the video — and the sad reality it paints.

Unlike Savannah’s previous posts with her siblings, Annie and Camron, she thinks the FBI didn’t help script it. She explained to Page Six on Monday:
“She doesn’t appear to be reading from a script. At least in my opinion. It is truly an off-the-cuff video.”
Because of that, Walder feels law enforcement does not have a suspect whatsoever:
“I think interestingly it points to the fact that they really and truly may not have a suspect.”
She also believes the ransom notes are legit. Remember, multiple news stations received a note from Nancy’s captors reportedly demanding $6 million in Bitcoin by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, which already passed. Even though the Guthrie family agreed to pay, Walder thinks Savannah is so “desperate” to get her mother back, understandably, that she decided to appeal to everyone:
“She’s appealing to it. She knows there is a deadline and she’s desperate. She does say she’s desperate. Whether this ransom is real or not, why would she say that? I don’t think the ransom is not true. Her doing it alone, I think she is desperate and was like, ‘OK, the FBI is not here. I’m going to go ahead and make a video and use my own platform and appeal to America.’ What seems to be the most logical is she decided, ‘I just need to say something now. I can’t keep waiting.'”
Hopefully, police will have more answers this week. Better yet, that they bring Nancy home safely soon.
