
The incident happened at around 10pm on Friday, January 23.
Police in West Lothian are appealing for information after the attempted theft of a van. At around 10pm on Friday, January 23, the owner of a white Ford Transit van parked his vehicle on Upper Bathville in Armadale.
The following morning, he noticed the van had moved further down the street. Police have so far established that the van was broken into with attempts made to start the engine without a key.
Officers have also established that a man was seen in the area at around midnight on Friday. He is described as around five foot ten, wearing dark clothing.
He was seen heading in the direction of Station Road. Constable Callum Jackson said: “I am appealing to anyone who was in the area between 10pm and the early hours of Saturday morning, who may have seen something to contact us.
“I would also like to ask anyone with doorbell or dash cam recording equipment to check the footage as it could assist our investigation.”
