A West Lothian chippy hosted a grand reopening and raised cash for charity in the process.
Tony’s Fish Bar in Whitburn has reopened its doors under new management and had special prices for two days with all of the profits being donated to West Lothian Woman’s Aid.
Customers were able to order from Tony’s special customised menu, and together staff and customers supported women affected by domestic abuse.
New owner Florin Dragos Serea said: “Thanks to our incredible customers at Tony’s Whitburn, we raised £1154.50 in support of West Lothian Women’s Aid helping women rebuild their lives.
“This isn’t just a donation, it’s hope, strength, and a reminder that community can change lives.”
Bathgate councillor Pauline Stafford popped along to Tony’s at the re-opening.
She said: “I came along when I saw Tony’s reopening under new management and I was delighted to learn they are supporting West Lothian Women’s Aid.
“I went along to try and their fish supper and wish them every success.”
