ORRVILLE — The rumble of engine, the shine of polished metal and the laughter of families will fill downtown Orrville on Saturday, Nov. 8 as the annual West Dallas Tractor Show makes its return.

The event, a celebration of agricultural heritage and small-town pride, promises something for tractor enthusiasts and casual visitors alike.

Organizers say this year’s show will offer a wider variety of attractions than ever before, including antique tractor displays, equipment demonstrations, live entertainment and activities for children. “We’ve grown each year we host this event, said organizers.” We hope to bring even more attraction and attention to Orrville.”

Since the start, the West Dallas Tractor Show has grown into on of the region’s premier fall traditions. What began as a small gathering of local tractor enthusiasts has evolved into a day drawing visitors from across Alabama and neighboring states. Each year, attendees come to admire restores machines, swap farming stories and connect with generations of farmers and hobbyists.

Eventgoers can expect to see tractors of all shapes and sizes, from classic models that date back decades to restored machines that look as if they just rolled off the factory floor. Alongside the tractor exhibits, the event features demonstrations of antique farming equipment, slow tractor races and a parade of engines that highlights the pride of the machines on display.

But the West Dallas Tractor show is about more than tractors. A variety of food vendors will serve everything from classic festival fare to local specialties, while crafters and artisans offer unique gifts and memorabilia. Live music performances will provide a festive backdrop for the event, ensuring there’s something for everyone, no matter their age or interest.

Organizers shared that the show’s true value lies in its ability to bring the community together. Farmers, restorers, families and longtime residents all share stories and memories, fostering connections across generations.

For many attendees, the West Dallas Tractor Show represents a living link to Alabama’s agricultural history. Longtime participants often recall standout moments, whether it’s the roar of an old engine springing back to life, the thrill of a tractor parade or the joy of children taking their first rides on a vintage machine.

The event is also a platform for education. Eventgoers have the opportunity to learn about farming techniques, the evolution of tractor design and the effort that goes into restoring and maintaining these machines. For younger guests, hands-on activities and demonstrations provide an engaging way to explore rural life and heritage.

The West Dallas Tractor Show will be held at 456 South Street in Orrville with the event running from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and admission is $2.
